Description
Gjermundbu Viking Helmet – Version 3 (10th Century Norse Helmet):
The Gjermundbu Helmet is the most iconic piece of Viking armour ever discovered. Unearthed in Norway and dated to the 10th century, it is the only nearly complete Viking helmet found to date. Its segmented construction, rounded skull and distinct Norse profile make it one of the most recognizable helmets in early medieval history.
This Version 3 interpretation preserves the authentic Viking look while offering reinforced features suitable for modern reenactment, LARP activities and costume use. It is crafted with multiple plates riveted together, following the structure of the original archaeological find.
Armor Arena offers this helmet in 14, 16, 18 and 20-gauge mild steel, as well as 18-gauge stainless steel for customers who prefer better rust protection. You may choose between a Dull (antique) finish or a Mirror (polished) finish, depending on whether you want a battlefield-ready look or a display-grade shine.
Each helmet includes comfortable internal foam padding and a durable leather chin strap with a steel buckle, ensuring a secure fit during movement. These details make it an excellent choice for LARP groups, SCA participants, medieval markets, cosplay events, film studios and theatre productions.
As always, Armor Arena guarantees high-quality craftsmanship with the lowest price, providing value that reenactors and collectors appreciate.
